Mark Uranza joins ScaleHub’s growing US team as pre-sales manager

We’re very happy to introduce our ScaleHub family to the newest team member, Mark Uranza. Beginning July 11, Mark will oversee pre-sales operations in the Americas.

You may recall reading about Peter Mueller, our new VP of Sales for the Americas. The US is a massive growth market for ScaleHub, and we’re assembling the team who can capture the opportunity we see in the Americas. Mark is a strategic addition to this high-octane team.

Following his time in the US Army, Mark began working in the automation software sector. Over his twenty-five-year career, he has managed and deployed projects from simple accounts payable automation (OCR extraction, workflow, two- and three-way matching, escalations, etc), to quote-to-cash applications to digital mailroom solutions to insurance and medical claims processing to EMR solutions … to name a few. In the process, Mark has worked with over 25 different ERP systems, including Sage, Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and Epicor.

“I’m excited to have an answer for organizations that have an IDP/OCR solution in place, but haven’t achieved the expected automation results, whether due to a processing backlog, poor extraction results, or resources inundated with too much manual data entry,” Mark said.

“ScaleHub’s crowdsourcing solutions address a longstanding hole in the IDP automation process in a truly novel way: by leveraging the evolution of artificial intelligence and machine learning and combining that evolution with human intelligence. Not to mention the advantages of delivering this capability in a modular format to fit each customer’s unique processing environment and requirements.”

When Mark isn’t geeking out in the automation space, he likes to experiment with smoking meats like pork, brisket, and ribs, as well as making beef jerky. More recently, he’s taken up the hobby of tasting and collecting scotch and bourbon.

ScaleHub CRO, Torsten Malchow, said: “The US market is key to ScaleHub’s strategic growth with a focus on BPOs and shared service centers for banks and insurance companies. With projected 2022 revenue of $122bn among approximately 260,000 registered BPOs, the market is one of North America’s fastest growing verticals.

“We can offer these organizations unlimited scalability, guaranteed turnaround times, and almost 100% data accuracy. I had the opportunity to work with Mark at a previous company (ReadSoft, acquired by Lexmark and later sold to Thoma Bravo’s portfolio company, KOFAX); he has always been a superstar, and I’m confident that his expert pre-sales support will be key to success in the Americas.”

“We are thrilled to have Mark on board and look forward to working with him!”
