The Challenge: Building a Platform That Sets the Standard for Modern Input Management
As Ratiodata DocSolutions continued to grow, so did the demands on its input management. Over many years, a powerful but heterogeneous system landscape had developed – comprising scanning systems, classification and extraction solutions, signature technologies, email and fax processing, and digital archives. To keep pace with rising document volumes, new regulatory requirements and a growing number of customers, a new, future-proof production platform was required.
The goal was to create a scalable, high-performance environment that reflects Ratiodata DocSolutions’ ambition to set the benchmark for intelligent input management in regulated industries. Together with ScaleHub, a platform was built that:

A particular challenge was implementing this transformation during ongoing production operations. For individual major customers in the banking sector, around twelve million forms with more than 30 different document types are processed each year – while meeting the highest requirements for availability, quality and service levels.
The modernisation was therefore far more than the introduction of new software. Together with ScaleHub, Ratiodata DocSolutions developed a powerful production platform that future-proofs existing processes, allows innovations to be integrated quickly, and forms the foundation for the next generation of intelligent document processing.

With the clear goal of setting the benchmark for intelligent input management in regulated industries, Ratiodata DocSolutions decided, together with ScaleHub, on a forward-looking transformation approach. Instead of a risky greenfield implementation, a modern platform was created that protects existing investments, integrates proven technologies and, at the same time, lays the foundation for innovation and further growth.

The rollout took place entirely during ongoing production operations. Existing customer processes were migrated, tested and put into production step by step – without any restrictions for customers.
While Ratiodata DocSolutions remained responsible for operations, production control, quality management and compliance with all service levels, ScaleHub contributed its platform technology, integration expertise and many years of experience in modernising complex input-management landscapes.
The result is a highly available production platform that can be continuously expanded while meeting the highest requirements for security, compliance and performance.

A key success factor was the consistent integration-first approach. Instead of replacing working systems, existing scanning, archive, signature and processing solutions were intelligently connected.
